The Sonoma Land Trust purchased the 915 acre Red Hill from the Sequeria family in 2000. The land includes 40 acres of old growth redwoods, canyons and rocky ridges. The property is adjacent to the popular Pomo Trail, affords stunning views of the coast to the west and Willow Creek watershed to the east and provides magnificent spring wildflower displays. As the lead negotiator in the preservation transcaction, Sonoma Land Trust received funding from the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District and the California State Conservancy to acquire the ranch for a new State Park.
